The Voice/Guitar and Cello Duo C’ella Vie of Carla Maffioletti and Luis Andrade will perform for the first time their beautiful repertoire at the Museum W in Weert.
De flamboyante Braziliaanse zangeres Carla Maffioletti werd bekend als solo- zangeres bij André Rieu, maar gaf jaren geleden de voorkeur aan een solo- carrière. Ze speelt ook gitaar, waardoor ze prachtige liederen kan vertolken.
Luis Andrade, cello
Luis Andrade werd geboren op het schitterd eiland Madeira en begon op vierjarige leeftijd viool te spelenen later de cello. Hij won vele prijzen en is sinds 2010 orkestlid bij Phion. De combinatie met van de warme klank van de cello en de expressieve stem van Maffioletti, maakt het tot een prachtig klinkend geheel, waarin melancholie en speelsheid zich afwisselt. Klassiek, populair en Zuid- Amerikaanse ritmes komen samen in de werken van Villa- Lobos, Jobim, Fauré en Maffioletti.

Dentre elas a estréia mundial da ópera de Vagner Cunha – Em busca das Paisagens Perdidas com a CORS, Companhia de Ópera do Rio Grandedo Sul em Porto alegre, Concertos com a Bell’anima em São Paulo e Recanto maestro e o concerto de Natal com a Orquestra Filarmônica do Balneário Camburiù.
Além dos concertos ministrará um masterclass de Música de Câmara para os cantores em formação da CORS.

Het duo C’ella Vie, bestaande uit de Braziliaanse zangeres en gitariste Carla Maffioletti en de Portugese cellist Luis Andrade, presenteert een betoverend en intiem muzikaal universum waarin klassiek, populaire invloeden en Zuid-Amerikaanse ritmes samenkomen. Hun repertoire is een kleurrijke mix van werken van Heitor Villa-Lobos, originele composities van Carla Maffioletti en muziek doordrenkt met Brasilidade – een authentieke Braziliaanse flair vol ritme, poëzie en emotie. Met de warme klank van de cello en de expressieve stem van Maffioletti creëren zij een unieke dialoog tussen klassiek en hedendaags, traditie en persoonlijke expressie. Het concert wordt georganiseerd door het Munttheater Weert.
Together with the brazilian pianist Ivan Pires, Carla Maffioletti will perform the Recital Al Amor in Nice, France and Conwy, UK. On the repertoire Heitor Villa-Lobos, Cláudio Santoro, Waldemar Henrique, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Joaquín Rodrigo, Fernando Obradors, and at the heart of the program the European première of Carla Maffioletti’s song cycle The Flight of the Firefly.
